Our Courtesy Van Service ensures convenient transportation for visits, Therapeutic Recreation Programs offer engaging activities for social and creative enrichment, and Social Work Services provide compassionate support and care planning for residents and families.
Understanding the importance of family and friends, we offer a complimentary courtesy transportation service to facilitate visits and participation in care plan meetings. Operating seven days a week, our vans provide door-to-door service within the Bronx, with additional routes to Manhattan and Southern Westchester multiple times weekly. Our drivers are equipped with cellular phones to maintain constant communication with our central dispatching center, ensuring the safety and convenience of our passengers. We recognize that social, creative, and intellectual stimulation are vital to a resident’s overall well-being. Our Therapeutic Recreation programs are tailored to individual abilities, offering opportunities for self-expression and social interaction. The Recreation Department also supervises the Resident Council, providing residents a platform to voice their opinions and make recommendations regarding daily life at Kings Harbor.
