However, with the help of the staff at Kings Harbor Multicare Center's Patient Financial Services, our patients are discovering financial solutions, such as free or low-cost government programs, specifically designed to lower health care costs.

The facility possesses a robust Patient Financial Services team, ready to assist with any specific financial inquiries you may have regarding your admission. Whether your stay may be covered through No Fault, Worker’s Compensation, a commercial policy, traditional Medicare or a Medicare plan, traditional Medicaid or a Medicaid plan, or whether you may be paying privately, a Kings Harbor Multicare Center Patient Financial Services representative is ready and equipped to assist you with any inquiries you may have. Our team also collaborates with various elder law attorneys, for your elder planning needs.

If you do not have insurance, our counselors will assist you with determining your eligibility for free or low-cost government assistance, called Medicaid. This program, funded by the state and federal government, is designed for New Yorkers who cannot afford to pay for medical care. Medicaid may cover you if you receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or if you meet certain income, resource, age or disability requirements. If eligible, Medicaid will cover expenses such as hospital care, doctor bills, nursing home coverage, home care and prescriptions.
